Tooth Whitening FAQ

In Chicago and surrounding areas

Tooth whitening in ChicagoWhat are my options for tooth whitening?
We offer a range of options for your tooth whitening needs, from penetrating bleach whitening solutions, to porcelain veneers and dental bonding for deeper and more stubborn stains. When you visit us for your consultation, we can help diagnose the type and severity of your tooth staining and help you determine which option is right for you.

How long will my whitening last?
This can vary quite significantly depending on the type and severity of your problem. In most cases, your teeth will remain significantly whiter for at least a year following treatment. In cases of bonding and veneers, the effects will last as long as your dental work remains intact.

What can I do to prolong the effects?
To prolong the effects of your whitening procedure, maintain good dental hygiene practices, avoid excessive staining food and drink such as dark foods, wine, and coffee, and avoid smoking.

What about stubborn stains or stains caused by drug interactions?
In cases where the cause of staining is not external, traditional bleaching techniques will not sufficiently whiten your smile, and you may require dental bonding or porcelain veneers to achieve a whitening effect.
